JACOB as role model

Jacob is perhaps the least understood,
most neglected, and controversial of any
major person in the Bible. Yet his life
is a fascinating journey that spans one-half
of the book of Genesis and has major application
to the lives of leaders today.

Every Jewish person traces his or her lineage
to one of Jacob's twelve sons. God's plan for

His names, Jacob and Israel, are referred to
