STAND FIRM AND YOU WILL SEE!

"Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you
will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The
Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will
fight for you; you need only to be still. Then the Lord said to
Moses, ‘Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move
on.'" Exodus 14:13-15

Are you afraid of your future? Does marriage restoration appear to
be hopeless? You see no signs of repentance, forgiveness, healing
or restoration from your spouse. So what are you to do? Are you
thinking of giving up? Are you facing yet another crisis due to
your marriage problems? Is there another person in your spouse's
life? Have you heard rumors about a baby? May I challenge you
to "Stand firm and you will see the deliverance Your Lord will do
for you. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."

"Now then, stand still and see this great thing the LORD is about
to do before your eyes!" I Samuel 12:16

Stand firm. Yes, your Lord will become your Deliverer in healing
and restoring your marriage. Your Lord God will fight for you, but
you must be still, walk in faith and be obedient to what the Lord
tells you to do.

"The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name." Exodus 15:3

First, you must believe in the power of your Lord God. We hear
daily of your impossible circumstances that seem so hopeless in the
natural eye. What are you to do? I pray that you will choose not
to give up on your marriage. You made vows before God that you
would be marred for life, so accept your circumstances right now.
Stand firm in the Lord, believing and knowing that only God alone
can change your circumstances.

"For nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37

Let me share a story in Exodus where Moses was taking the Israelites
to the promised land. I hope you will read Exodus 13:17-22, 14:1-31
which is an intriguing story of the Israelites crossing the Red
Sea. Read the powerful word description of God hardening Pharaoh's
heart. Why would God do that?

"As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were
the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried
out to the LORD. They said to Moses, "Was it because there were
no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What
have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt?" Exodus 14:10-11

Why would God harden Pharaoh's heart and have him chase after the
Israelites? As I studied, I found that it was just part of God's
bigger plan to teach the Egyptians "to know that I am the Lord."
Why were the Israelites grumbling and complaining to Moses? Does
that sound like you right now? Your Lord God is wanting you to
believe in Him. Do you really believe that He is your mighty
awesome God who is bigger than any of your problems? Remember, He
parted the Red Sea for the Israelites and He can part the Red Sea of
your own circumstances!

"Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you
will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The
Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will
fight for you; you need only to be still." Then the LORD said to
Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move
on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to
divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on
dry ground. I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that
they will go in after them. And I will gain glory through Pharaoh
and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen. The
Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I gain glory through
Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen." Exodus 14:13-18

What faith and confidence Moses had in God. That is what you must
have every day for the circumstances that you face. You must speak
faith and trust that your Lord God will move your obstacles that you
are facing one step at a time. God is in control and He does have a
plan. He wants to get the glory for all that He is going to do
through you and your restored marriage.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my
ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the
earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than
your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9

The Israelites had forgotten all that their Lord God had just done
to set them free from Pharaoh. They lost their faith in their
mighty God. Every day you have to choose whom you are going to
believe in. The enemy speaking negative words and thoughts or in
your Lord God. You can speak and walk in faith, or you can allow
yourself to be overcome with fear, doubt and hopelessness. What are
you doing today? What are you going to do tomorrow?

"Then the LORD said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell
the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your
hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can
go through the sea on dry ground. I will harden the hearts of the
Egyptians so that they will go in after them. And I will gain
glory through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and
his horsemen. The Egyptians will know that I am the LORD when I
gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen."
Exodus 14:15-18

Are you complaining, worrying, and afraid of your circumstances every
day? Seek your Lord and listen for His soft voice of directions. Be
still and know that God is in charge of your life, but keep moving
forward!! Keep your eyes on your Lord. He is going ahead of you
fighting all your battles.

"You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions;
stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, O Judah
and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out
to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.'"
2 Chronicles 20:17

Are you going to stand firm and see the deliverance your Lord will
do in healing and restoring your marriage? Don't give up due to
your Red Seas in your life, just be still knowing God is in control
and there will be victory!

"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 47:10
