Visions and Dreams .

In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions; your old men will dream dreams. ~ Acts 2:17
"I need to meet with you," said the man from England during a break at a conference overseas. We walked outside to have a coffee break and sat down. "God wants you to know that He removed your finances in order to reserve His reward for you in Heaven. He has done you a great service."
I was shocked. I'd never met this gentleman before. How would he have known I had lost a half million dollars in the previous few years, virtually all of my financial net worth, to some unusual calamities? We shared for the next several minutes.
That week, during our lunch and dinner times, I had been enjoying wonderful, juicy oranges from this island in the Mediterranean Sea. It came time for the gentleman and I to conclude our coffee break. We bowed in prayer. As we prayed, the man began to describe a picture he was seeing in his mind. "I see a picture of a large orange tree. The tree is full of large, ripened oranges. They are beginning to fall to the ground. You are the tree!"
Again, I looked at the man with shock and amazement, and now tears in my eyes.
"You are the third person in three years that has had a similar vision during a prayer time like this. The first two people were also strangers to me."
I went back into the meeting rejoicing that God could be so personal in my life. He used a servant who had gone through similar trials to supernaturally speak a word of encouragement in a way that I would know it was God who was speaking.
There are times when God supernaturally speaks into our lives. He does this to demonstrate His power, His love, and His intimacy with us. Do not be surprised if God sends one of His messengers to speak into your life when you need it most. Be open to how God might want to speak into your life today.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers (Psalm 1:3).

"A living dog is better than a dead lion."

"A living dog is better than a dead lion."
-Ecclesiastes 9:4

Life is a precious thing, and in its humblest form it is superior to death. This truth is eminently certain in spiritual things. It is better to be the least in the kingdom of heaven than the greatest out of it. The lowest degree of grace is superior to the noblest development of unregenerate nature. Where the Holy Ghost implants divine life in the soul, there is a precious deposit which none of the refinements of education can equal.
Lazarus among the dogs is better than Cicero among the senators; and the most unlettered Christian is in the sight of God superior to Plato. Life is the badge of nobility in the realm of spiritual things, and men without it are only coarser or finer specimens of the same lifeless material, needing to be quickened, for they are dead in trespasses and sins.A living, loving, gospel sermon, however unlearned in matter and uncouth in style, is better than the finest discourse devoid of unction and power.
A living dog keeps better watch than a dead lion, and is of more service to his master; and so the poorest spiritual preacher is infinitely to be preferred to the exquisite orator who has no wisdom but that of words, no energy but that of sound. The like holds good of our prayers and other religious exercises; if we are quickened in them by the Holy Spirit, they are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ, though we may think them to be worthless things; while our grand performances in which our hearts were absent, like dead lions, are mere carrion in the sight of the living God. O for living groans, living sighs, living despondencies, rather than lifeless songs and dead calms.
Better anything than death (especially spiritual death!). The snarlings of the dog of hell will at least keep us awake, but dead faith and dead profession, what greater curses can a man! have?
Quicken us, quicken us, O Lord!
--C. H. Spurgeon.

Now the "True Dialogue" Begins!

Tommorow, Nigeria's PEOPLES' NATIONAL CONFERENCE kicks off in Lagos, with all ethnic nationalities, civil society organisations, government, pressure groups, and foreign stakeholders in Nigeria invited to be fully and democratically represented...regardless of the ploys and plots of a devious cabal seemingly intent on causing challenges to crop up...They have failed because this is a God-ordained process, and it is destined to finally bring the common good to reign in this potentially great nation.

Whatever way this intervention develops, it can only be in the interest of the world and Nigeria to ensure that it is not restricted in any way...neither by government, nor by any agents provocateur of any colouration.

POSITIVE PARTNERS calls on all right-thinking citizens of the world to do everything possible (both proactively and reactively!) to give this land of over 150million impoverished people a chance to decide their future as free human beings within or outside this oil-rich, corruption-endemic, systemically-diseased, and oppression-infested entity called the Nigerian nation, which is currently drifting towards a debacle that could negatively impact mankind sooner than most people appear to be aware of right now!

Saving Nigeria is one of the keys to saving all that humanity holds dear today. BELIEVE!

MAY GOD LEAD NIGERIA'S LEADERS AND PEOPLE ARIGHT, WE PRAY IN JESUS' NAME. Amen!

Shalom!!!

IN CHRIST, ALONE, I TRUST FROM NOW ON!

Yesterday, I took a stand in Christ for my life to rise to God's chosen level for me...regardless of whatever that choice and level will entail...for I know that ALL can only but work out to the purpose of good in my life now that I'm more fully ("all-fully") surrendered to my creator's willl for my life...now I know for a surety that His presence alone is truly everything I need and desire!

"I lift up my eyes unto the LORD fom whom commeth my help"!!

MAY HIS WILL BE DONE FOR EVER AND EVER...AMEN!

Shalom!!!

PRONACO...LET THE WORLD WATCH!

We the people pf Nigeria call on the whole world to keenly watch Nigeria's government, security agents, and people as the peoples' representatives come together for the PEOPLES' NATIONAL CONFERENCE scheduled to commence on Saturday October 1, 2005, in Lagos Nigeria.

The government has detained some of the expected delegates (including the Niger Delta youthful leader, Asari Dokubo...and his lawyer whose only crime is that he went to court to represent his extra-legally detained client ...all this in this supposedly democratic state that wants the world to respect her!...) and there are security threats, from known enemies of progress, to everybody who will take part , including Nigeria's octogenarian statesman, Pa Enahoro, and our Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka.

The world owes herself a duty to NOT let the feudalist tyrants-in-power kill anyone or this dream of giving the Nigerian people their first ever chance to determine their future free of the pseudo-marxist macchiavellian ploys of her leadership! God bless Nigeria!

Shalom!!!

REMEMBER ME O LORD!

Thank you Lord for bringing me back to a fuller knowledge of you...to know that YOU are all that I've ever needed!
I CHOOSE TODAY TO LOOK TO YOU & YOU ALONE FOR MY UPLIFTINGS...not anymore to the "coverings" that have been my cheap substitutes for your ever-ready love and grace.

Supply, protect, and direct me from this point on father...

On you, Jehovah, alone, I stand henceforth, in Jesus' name. Amen!

Shalom!!!

THE DRIFT BEGINS AGAIN?

In 1978, I wrote a series of articles, as a NEWBREED Magazine Editor,
highlighting very obvious cracks in the then General Obasanjo's regime. This led, eventually, to the proscibing of NEWBREED Magazine, making that pace-setting gloss-and-inestigative-journalism paper the very first news-medium to be negatively impacted by any Nigerian government after the nation's independence in 1960!

Whilst the government chose to state to the world that it cracked down because of an interview the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo granted the paper exclusively then, all the major players in government and the madia industry knew that its real gripe was with a couple of those writings, including "Police, Guns, & Students", "The Utility Value Of The NSO", and "The Drift Begins"; the last of this trio being an indictment of the leadership with a prophetic warning against the very phenomena that OBJ & Murtala Muhammed & co. had exploited to overthrow the Gowon administration...

Today, once again, there's a need to warn OBJ that Nigeria has resumed that ominous drift...and that this time, it could lead us all over the edge into a holocaustic abyss!

To be forewarned....Verbum sat!

El-Rufai's CASUISTRY On Morals & Textiles!

On 29/08/05, El-Rufai led the burning of over N200MILLION WORTH OF TEXTILES MATERIALS (yes, illegally imported) because, according to the FCT man (by the way, why was he seconded to go supervise a duty that's rightly Akanya's and the Customs'), "it would be morally wrong for Nigerians to profit from something that destroys Nigeria"...

One needs to be better educated as to how these clothing materials would have been destructive to poor Nigerians if they had been given to them (and to refugees!) to clothe their naked children freeof charge!

Assylogisms and specious logic seem the only way we can justify our empty purely cheap-politics-driven posturings, apparently!

2007 & Electronic Voting Fraud !

As Nigeria remains determined to fast-track her demise through electronic voting in 2007, let us remind every one of the following fact:
In 2003 computerized (electronic) voting terminals in Boone County, Indiana, USA, RECORDED 144,000 VOTES FOR A TOTAL OF ONLY 19,000 VOTERS!
Csae rested!
Those interested in earning commissions from the suppliers of the electronic voting equipment are the only Nigerians that stand to gain from this crazy venture in our highly-illiterate socio-polity!

South-South zone & PRONACO

Was at the South-South mini/pre-conference meeting of the zone held today here in Calabar...drove down with Asari Dokubo, exchanged thoughts with a couple of his "warriors" and others (including "pro-Biafra-nites"!), and put in my tuppeny piece into the meet-proper; and the assembly's modus operandi etc. confirmed my expectations that the NDVPF is playing a very influential role in the whole PRONACO equation!

I believe that God is forever in control!

Shalom!!!

OPPOSITE LEADERS!

Oil prices rose for the second day running amid predictions from the US that this winter would bring the highest energy costs for a decade.

As more damage reports from Hurricane Katrina filtered in, US light crude rose 48 cents to $64.97 a barrel.
The US Energy Department forecast that petrol would cost 34% more than a year ago this winter.
It said natural gas would be 52% more expensive and electricity would cost US consumers 11% more than in 2004.
This is expected to result in a 24% annual rise in total energy expenditure in the US, accounting for about 8.7% of GDP.
Meanwhile, London Brent crude was quoted 59 cents higher at $63.67 a barrel.
Refinery delays
The Energy Department said crude oil supplies fell by 6.4 million barrels last week.
About 900,000 barrels a day, or 60% of crude output, remained shut down in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, heightening fears that fuel supplies will be tight in the run up to winter.
Meanwhile, oil giant Shell warned that full production from one of its striken rigs may not be restored until next year.

At least four refineries in the Gulf Coast are expected to be out of action for months.
"It's roughly 4% to 5% of the American refinery capacity will be delayed and starting up I would guess in another couple of months," said US Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman.
Oil supplies are still 13% higher than a year ago, the Energy Department stressed, but gasoline supplies dropped 4.3 million barrels last week - a drop of 9% on the year.
The mixed report was "pretty much what the general market has anticipated", analysts said.

Meanwhile, European Union finance ministers are preparing to meet in Manchester, England, with the aim of finding a way to cope with the economic consequences of oil's record rally.
Analysts have warned that the eurozone's tentative economic recovery could be derailed by oil's strength.
The EU will outline its strategy for saving power in Europe, possibly by using more renewable energy sources and a greater variety of suppliers.
Meanwhile, at a meeting in South Korea on Friday their Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) counterparts also called for greater investment in renewable energy.
APEC's members include the US, Japan, Canada and China.

OK that is part of the latest news!

The other side of the news includes the fact that ctizens of every OPEC member nation, except Nigeria's, will be rejoicing, as their treasuries swell with oil-dollars...but Nigerians will be dying, moaning, and crying as our poverty levels and energy-costs destroy any petro-earnings we gain from yhese global phenomena...because our leaders are OPPOSITE PEOPLE!

Shalom!!!

"If nothing changes, nothing changes."

"If nothing changes, nothing changes."

This one little saying has the potential to transform us in our relationships---Oh yeah?

Who would've thought it ...isn't this too simplistic?

But is it not cbvious that if nothing changes, nothing changes?!

Take a second and think about your family life, your relationships with your spouse, kids, parents, siblings, other relatives. Is there anything in those relationships that you wish was different? How about the way you speak to each other? Or the way you solve disagreements? Is there an elephant in the room whenever you get together? Is there an aspect of your relationship that repeatedly grates your nerves? Do you have something in mind? OK, good. Now, what are you doing to make it better? At the risk of sounding unsympathetic, much of the time, change really is that easy....just change!

The South-South zone of the PRONACO is going into a pre-National Conference mini-Conference beginning in Calaber, the capital city of Nigeria's tourists'-canaan, the Cross River State, on Sunday September 11, 2005.

This giant of Africa NEEDS positive change FAST, if it's not to implode in our faces sooner than even the grim forecasters of doom expect! And the South-South zone, finally, holds the key to this nation's survival (or otherwise!)...it therefore is crucial that every stakeholder in the prosperous future of Nigeria actively impacts Sunday's programme as positively and urgently as possible!

Which is why I am joining the Dokubos and Dokpesis and Douglases and Dukes of this nation in Calabar ...to seek peaceful alternatives to the loud drums of conflict being encouraged and thumped by many anti-Nigerians who do not belong to the South-South, but who would love to prod this normally peaceful zone of Nigeria into being the catalyst for Nigeria's destruction...there is urgent need for change...if we do not change our downhill course, we're surely fated to self-destruct!

And we do not intend to give the devil and his minions that pleasure...No way!

Shalom!!!

If My people would but listen to Me!

If My people would but listen to Me.... ~ Psalm 81:13
God has a specific training ground for leaders. There are three patterns of preparation that have been common among most of God's leaders. First, there is a time when the leader is separated from his old life. Consider Moses, Joseph, Abraham, and Paul. In order for God to mold and shape them into His nature, it appears that He had to remove them from the life of comfort. A teacher once said, "You cannot go with God and remain where you are."
Next, there is usually a time of solitude. God often brings leaders into a time of solitude in order to speak to them without other distractions. Hosea 2:14b says, "I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her." Paul was sent to Arabia for two years for a time of solitude. Joseph spent years in the solitude of prison. Moses spent 40 years in the desert herding sheep.
The third characteristic of God's preparation for leaders is discomfort. The setting in which the preparation takes place usually is not a place of comfort. Abraham traveled through the difficult deserts. David lived in caves fleeing Saul. Paul was frequently persecuted.
Are you ready for the classroom of leadership preparation?
If God chooses to bring you into this class, you may have one of three reactions to the events. First, you may say, "I don't need it." Perhaps you know intellectually that you do need this, but God wants you to know it in your heart. Pride prevents us from entering this classroom. The second reaction may be, "I'm tired of it." You decide you've had enough. If so, this will disqualify you from leadership. Finally, God's desired response from us in this preparation is, "I accept it." To accept it with joy is the place of maturity in Christ. God often keeps us in these places until we come to accept and agree that Jesus is enough. Is He all you need?
Like the people of Israel, I think we have something to do with the timetable of our education. "If My people would but listen to Me, if Israel would follow My ways, how quickly would I subdue their enemies and turn My hand against their foes!" (Ps. 81:13-14)
Are you ready for the process required for being a godly leader? Ask for His grace to willingly embrace these times of preparation.

SUFFERING AND SMILING!

When the late Afro-Beat legend, Fela, sang the song titled as above, Nigerians thought we could never have it worse economically and politically...

When Dikko's dustbin-misinterpreted-gaffe hit the news, the general public was sure that we had hit rock-bottom...

And when ex-Head of State Obasanjo criticised military dictator/President IBB, for killing Nigerians "fastly" with a non-human faced SAP, THE WORLD LOOKED TOO BLEAK FOR WORDS!...

So one does not know what to say now that our very own second/third chance OBJ is now the one in charge of what appears to the massses to be an orchestrated killing off of the people through inhumane policies and programmes...

What do we dub this fast-tracked decimation of the people and the peoples' faith in democracy?...

Dying and Smiling?!

Posterity will SOON tell...BELIEVE!

Shalom!!!

World AIDS Day 2005; Thursday December 1, 2005

POSITIVE PARTNERS plans to mark this year's World AIDS Day by launching a Niger Delta anti-HIV/AIDS super-sensitisation project that will reach the grassroots of the people with the message of life against the habits of death that dominate the region's citizenry today...with especial emphasis on the oil-workers, students, youths, security personnel, women, and teachers; in collaboration with the UNAIDS, NACA, SACAs, other Federal and State governments/parastatals (e.g. the NDDC, NOA, BON, VON, NTA, FRCN), major oil/gas companies, faith bodies, traditional and youth groups, prime sponsors (hopefully DANGOTE, GLO/MTN/V-MOBILE etc.), independent broadcast/press organisations (including DAAR, Rhythm Radio, Silverbird TV, Guardian, ThisDay, Vanguard & local media); and in a series of layered activities that will incorporate the performing/visual arts, exhibitions, rallies, charity walks etc. in partnership with a founding sister-organisation/partner, the AFRICAN REFUGEES FONDATION (AREF), which was founded by PP's Chairman, Nigeria's respected elder-statesman Ambassador Segun Olusola, mni, OFR.

RESCUE THE PERISHING -

"Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue, be my rock of
refuge, a strong fortress to save me."
Psalm 31:2

Rescue the perishing!
Pastor Charleyne Steinkamp says in her daily devotional that "That is all I could think about for New Orleans these past several days as people were screaming for help and people standing on the roofs wanting to be rescued."
This makes me pray that Americans, a people (who as citizens, not as a government tend to be parochial and very self-focused...intentionally being insular in attitude and not noticing what goes on outside their shores, except when CNN etc. beam bad news into their living space!) will realise, once again (after 9/11), that disaster does not strike just the poor or technologically less-endowed members of humanity!
This is a time for everybody to sincerely remember the tears, pain, sorrow, blood, hunger, disease, and homelesness that's beleaguering the Iraqs, Rwandas, Indonesias, and Nigerias of this world that are also hurting right now...Children of God should unite today in prayers to Yahweh for His redeeming presence to save mankind from itself, and we all need to selflessly give of ourselves and our resources, with Christ-like self-giving love, to every needy citizen of the world TODAY! Let us all join in praying the following words now, with all our hearts:
"Lord,please, rescue the perishing."

Fuel Subsidies & The American Example!

In January 2004, the IMF pointed out a huge imbalance between the USA government's expected revenues and necessary welfare costs; concluding that the US would require an immediate 60% hike in taxes or a 50% cut in Social Security & Medicare benefits.

And, today, energy costs have sky-rocketed amongst quite a few increases in costs...So what has that government done? Increase the citizen's woes?!

NO!

In fact, today, the US Republican government is pushing for big increases in energy and agriculture subsidies...regardless of the foreging facts and warnings!

Not so Nigeria!

Our government wants to kill the people of our nation, by increasing fuel prices ad infinitum...without creating any palliatives of social welfare for our dying citizens...regardless of all the Mantu etc. "commissions"!

Why do we have such leaders who do not care whether Nigerians survive the S.A.P. measures we are faced with today (forget the fact that the name's been changed...without any NEEDS truly taken into consideration!)

It was the great theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer who stated that "The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its chidren"...do we intend to leave any children for the future at all, at this rate?

OBJ Wake up...or ship out!

Shalom!!!

"The Lord trieth the righteous."-Psalm 11:5

"The Lord trieth the righteous."-Psalm 11:5

All events are under the control of Providence; consequently all the trials of our outward life are traceable at once to the great First Cause. Out of the golden gate of God's ordinance the armies of trial march forth in array, clad in their iron armour, and armed with weapons of war. All providences are doors to trial. Even our mercies, like roses, have their thorns. Men may be drowned in seas of prosperity as well as in rivers of affliction. Our mountains are not too high, and our valleys are not too low for temptations: trials lurk on all roads. Everywhere, above and beneath, we are beset and surrounded with dangers. Yet no shower falls unpermitted from the threatening cloud; every drop has its order ere it hastens to the earth.

The trials which come from God are sent to prove and strengthen our graces, and so at once to illustrate the power of divine grace, to test the genuineness of our virtues, and to add to their energy. Our Lord in His infinite wisdom and superabunda!nt love, sets so high a value upon His people's faith that He will not screen them from those trials by which faith is strengthened.

You would never have possessed the precious faith which now supports you if the trial of your faith had not been like unto fire. You are a tree that never would have rooted so well if the wind had not rocked you to and fro, and made you take firm hold upon the precious truths of the covenant grace. Worldly ease is a great foe to faith; it loosens the joints of holy valour, and snaps the sinews of sacred courage.

The balloon never rises until the cords are cut; affliction doth this sharp service for believing souls. While the wheat sleeps comfortably in the husk it is useless to man, it must be threshed out of its resting place before its value can be known. Thus it is well that Jehovah trieth the righteous, for it causeth them to grow rich towards God....(Thanks to C.H.Spurgeon)

OBJ & AA Must come to terms NOW!

Nigeria's President & Vice President must overcome their petty egos and not take Nigeria to the verge of destruction!
