DO YOU HAVE ENDURANCE? -

"For everything that was written in the past was written to teach
us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the
Scriptures we might have hope. May the God who gives endurance
and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as
you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may
glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 15:4-6

Do you have endurance? We read in I Corinthians 13:8-13 that "Love
endures all." Endurance builds character. I pray that you will seek
to develop "endurance" in your character. Endurance can mean using
other words in your character such as: with dedication, with
determination, with energy, with permanence, as a survivor, with
tenacity and with virility. It may take a new mind set to desire and
develop your endurance, but I believe to stand for your marriage you
must have "endurance."

"And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the
Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good
work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all
power according to his glorious might so that you may have great
endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father,
who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints
in the kingdom of light." Colossians 1:10-12

What is endurance? I looked up the word "endure" in the Vine's
Complete Expository Dictionary which states as a noun means:
patience, patient enduring, longsuffering. As a verb it means: to
abide, to abide under, to bear up courageously, to tarry, wait for,
to be steadfast, to be long-tempered. In the New World Dictionary
"endure" means to hold out, last, to hold up under, to stand, bear,
ability to last, continue or remain and duration. What powerful
words and meanings. What a privilege to have "endurance" for your
marriage and for your spouse.

As I study endurance, you can see that it is commanded, it is
praised and it is rewarded in the Bible. (See scriptures below) I
pray that as you have your devotion time, you will pray that the
Lord will teach you how to develop endurance and patience in your
personal walk with Him. Developing and having endurance will make
you able to stand for your marriage much easier.

"Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus."
2 Timothy 2:3

"Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that
they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with
eternal glory...if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we
disown him, he will also disown us." 2 Timothy 2:10,12

"You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my
purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, persecutions, sufferings
—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and
Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from
all of them." 2 Timothy 3:10-11

As you read "Charlyne Cares" my prayer is that it is not read as a
quick five minute devotional, but you pray, study and learn more
about becoming a more steadfast, powerful Christian. Meditate and
study the scriptures that we use. Yes, you have a crisis in your
life, but through the power of your Lord God, He is going to make
you into a new man or woman, stronger in the Lord and a better
husband or wife than you have ever been. Your goal is to be a
different person through the power of the Holy Spirit. You can not
stay the same, you need to go forward, deepen your Christian walk.

You and I need to develop endurance in many areas of our lives.
What other areas do you need to develop endurance? If you
were an athlete, they must develop endurance in doing a strict
regiment program to reach their goal to win the prize at the end of
their race. You and I need to realize that we must develop endurance
in standing for your marriage and all marriages to reach our goal, to
win the prize of defeating divorce in your marriage and defeating
divorce in our society and around the world.

I pray that you are encouraged as I have been studying these
scriptures on endurance. One of the secrets of endurance is being
inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. Your Lord has given you
promises to you for you to develop endurance and patience for your
marriage to be renewed, restored and reconciled by your Lord. Don't
give up, run the race to win the prize that the Lord has for you and
your family.

"We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers.
We continually remember before our God and Father your work
produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance
inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ."
I Thessalonians 1:2-3

"But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness,
godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good
fight of the faith." I Timothy 6:11-12

God bless,
